The "Buddy System"
Never before have we worked so hard to make new opportunities for the members. Here
is your chance to get your "buddies" involved with the Hampden Country Club. Below is a
list of ways to "lower your membership" for 2011, or 2010 if you have already paid.
- Get a friend to purchase a 5, 10, or 20-play card and will give a special credit of $10,
$20, or $50 respectively towards your membership.
- Get a friend to buy a Junior membership and we will award you with a $50 credit
towards membership, as well as 10 standard sized buckets of balls to used at the new
driving range.
- Get a family of 3 or more to join, and we will give you $100credit towards your
membership, and will issue a credit for 15 buckets of balls at the driving range.
- Bring a friend to play the course and we will give them an 18-hole round for $10. You
will receive 5 credit points in the merchandise room.
- For every hour that you supply the course with "recognized labor" (See below for
qualifiers), we will credit that time towards merchandise, trail fees, or entry fees to
events, and in some circumstances, memberships as the course feels warranted.
- If you go out and enlist a business to hold an event at the, course which has an
enrollment of 36 people playing golf, you will be awarded with $100 credit in the
merchandise store. (Employees and families not qualified for this award).
To qualify for "recognized labor", a member or individual freely admits that they are not an actual
employee of the course and is either volunteering or acting as a sub-contractor "in-kind", and obligated
to file a 1099 form. The rate of credit for this "in kind" labor shall not exceed $10 per hour and will be
tracked through a "special labor" time card software program at the course, or willingly agreeing to by
both parties, a joint compromise of equity to fulfill their volunteering, or "job duty".
